Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey Her father (who died in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka hails from Belarus and was born on May 5, 1998. Her career has seen her been awarded 12 WTA singles titles, including the Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is her forte She has won majors at her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both with Elise Mertens. Also, she achieved the Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. Only four women's doubles teams achieve this feat. The singles world ranking climbed again to its highest position in January 2023. She climbed into the top spot of the doubles ranking the next year after taking the title in Melbourne. This made her the second Belarusian tennis player be successful in tennis. She was coached by an ex- Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the 2019 season and in part at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was her coach from August until September 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach from 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova have been her inspirations.
